“Quaint lunch spot”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

During our road trip across the coast, I visited Trip Advisor for a restaurant recommendation when we stopped for lunch in Santa Barbara. When you arrive at Savoy, you need to order your food at the counter and find a table. They bring you your food. Tip - find a table first and then order as the place fills fast. The food was great. Try the turkey fritters. Better yet, order The Food Network's "The Guy Plate" - Turkey Fritters, Quinoa Mango Salad, Pesto Green Salad and Carrot Cake for $12.95. I suggest sharing it with a family member as it is too big for one person. After lunch, check out the main street with interesting shops, including a Coach discount store where I got 80% off the retail price on two bags. On Sundays you can check out an art mart at Palm Park.

“Breakfast, lunch or dinner”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

I visited the Savoy Cafe & Deli due to their feature on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The featured item - turkey fritter was delicious and big enough for two. Great place to sit and eat or grab something to go. A must visit when in Santa Barbara.

“very nice place for lunch”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Stopped for lunch on journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco based on the reviews on here. Excellent choice although slightly confusing layout when first entering, really friendly staff soon helped us make our choices. All the food is freshly prepared and excellently presented.

I had the turkey fritters which were really good. There is a really wide range of sandwiches and salads and the kids had leg of chicken with macaroni cheese.

All in all a really good spot - recommended!

“Great Deli”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We were on our way up to wine country and saw this rated highly on trip advisor so we had lunch. A little confusing walking in, so many different counters and things going on. So we stood and waited a while to catch on. There was a salad bar, sandwhich bar and coffee/wine bar. Salad bar looked great with many natural foods but we went for the sandwhich bar. Had a great ham, cheese etc on some great bread. Bread is terrific there. Lots of things to choose to add to your sandwhich.
Lots of different drinks to choose from. Many we had not heard of. It was fun to look through. Then lots of different chips.
Staff was friendly but hurried.
