Though you should not expect a very cheap breakfast, the food is remarkable, what we had was not sophisticated but was made with the best ingredients and that is not a given at any times. They pay attention to all details and this was a place that I would stop in SB just to have breakfast.

What a great lunch and dinner we had within our 4 day visit. Excellent food, good value, great staff to assist. The soups are delicious and the desserts wonderful. The salad bar offers great options for all diners. Easy parking across the street in a city lot. What a find. Thanks for the posts that preceded our visit. A nice easy dining experience for any meal of the day!

We were looking for something other than mexican/seafood/barfood, but also something that is kid friendly. After having a horrible meal for dinner the night before, we wanted something fresh and Savoy fit the bill. On a side street from State Street, it is tucked in between other cafes but this one stands out for its atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered breakfast: breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, and pumpkin muffin for our little one. The staff pulled a booster high chair out of the back and immediately brought out his muffin. Our food came shortly after and everything was very delicious. I also ordered a latte which was the best one I've had in a while! The deli cases were full of fresh salads, sandwiches and the like--very tempting to return that same day for lunch!

If you like healthy, cozy, casual and simple, this is the place. A wonderful soup and salad bar and various yummy dishes to choose from behind the counter. Similar type food to a Whole Foods food bar but with a nicer atmosphere to eat and a quaint table to have coffee or tea. They had a very nice tea selection. Some nice baked goods too. Decent price.

I do think it's funny this is the #1 rated restaurant in SB....although we loved it...it is a cafe after-all. We stopped in for a quick lunch before wine tasting. The place filled up fast...Saturday around 1pm. We were lucky to get a table. The staff is friendly and helpful. The choices are on chalkboard as well as displayed in case before you. I had turkey pastilla frittata with brown rice...amazing. My husband had a sandwich made to order. I wanted to go back for breakfast the next day but didn't make it...their breakfast menu looked amazing. We will be back.
