This was without doubt the poorest hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks touring California and Nevada. I have never before posted a bad review but this place seriously needs some serious updating. Musty smell in the corridors, glasses left on the floor outside bedroom doors, dated accommodation, and being charged for parking (even at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas it was free valet parking). Enjoyed a few glasses of wine during Happy Hour but realised on check out we had been charged full price - although must add the reception staff sorted it out straight away when we complained. We had a great time touring California and Nevada but this one hotel left a bad taste. We got out of the hotel and Santa Barbara as soon as we could!

We stayed here for three days with our two kids. We had a great time going to the beach every day. I did my morning run while the kids and dad did breakfast in bed. Then beach and a nice dip in the pool when we got back in the afternoons.

The hotel helped us to arrange babysitting with a company called University Sitters so that we could head to Lucky's for dinner in Montecito. Both the sitter, Natalie, and the dinner were excellent.

Kids also loved walking to the carousel which is just a few minutes away.

Room Tip: We wanted a room that was secluded so that if our 2 year old was crying, we wouldn't be disruptive to neighbors. They obliged.

We had a wonderful time on a quick trip down the coast. Stayed in a wonderful room facing out to the beautiful ocean. Having wine or coffee on our patio was serene. The staff is very acommodating and friendly. Stay here for breakfast then venture out, the breakfast buffet is very extensive.
This hotel will be a great location to take in all the sights, and then to come home to and relax. The pool area is good too, food and beverage service. I have stayed here several times, and keep going back!!
Also, great place with pets. Alot of room for walks on the grounds.

Room Tip: Get as close to the ocean as you can!

We attended a wedding in this hotel and stayed a night in the Dahlia.
While the property itself is beautiful and expansive and right by the ocean, the rooms are a little run down. One family in our wedding party had a leaking ceiling, right above the sink and closet area.
Breakfast buffet is HUGE with a wide selection of breads, pastries, fruit, cereal, etc and you can order your own omlette.
