Simply a great value. They have nice enough rooms, a good breakfast, wine and cheese from 4 to 6, and then cookies from 6 to 8. Throw in the free bike rentals and it's an all out effort to provide a great experience. The location is fantastic. I took a 35 minute casual walk and was able to get to the beach and all the way to the pier and back. It's about 3 blocks off the beach right by the marina. The bike rentals were simply great. The only criticisms would be rooms a bit dated and that other guests had access to pool decks right outside the suites living room window. When we opened our window blinds, there were always people there either having breakfast in the morning or sunbathing in the day. I mean right outside your window but that would only seem to be an issue with the Penthouse Suite and was by no means enough of a problem to counter the other positives.

We stayed here early this month and what a great stay it was. As others of said at first it doesn't seem like much, but once you get onto the grounds and start to experience the hotel and the STAFF you'll be glad you did. As many others have said the staff and extra really make this place what it is. Lily and Danny were super nice and helpful. We absolutely be back!

This is a spectacular find in pricey Santa Barbara, especially for so near the waterfront. Every feature is lovingly cared for with an eye toward European charm: room décor, small pool & jacuzi, lobby, grounds, carport. And so many generous touches: free wifi, continental breakfast (with yogurt, cereals, pastries, hardboiled eggs, coffee, tea), happy hour cheese & wine, evening fresh-baked cookies, and 1000 free DVDs to choose from.
We would come back in a heartbeat!

We stayed at this hotel for a quick getaway weekend with friends and we loved it! Our room had plenty of space, was very clean, and had champagne waiting for us on arrival. There seemed to be food and drink in the lobby all day with a nice breakfast, wine & cheese/fruit reception, and the milk & cookies bar. We also took advantage of the complimentary bike rentals that allowed us to get around State Street and the beach without having to worry about parking downtown. We are all amateur riders and it was still a very quick/easy ride to the shopping and beaches. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the complimentary movie rentals.

The best part of our stay was the incredible staff. William was there to great us when we arrived late Friday night and he went above and beyond our entire stay to make sure we enjoyed our vacation to the fullest. Every member of the staff that we encountered took a great deal of pride in their hotel and also seemed to really care that we were enjoying our stay. We would absolutely stay here again on a future trip. Thanks to everyone at Brisas Del Mar for a wonderful stay!

The staff at this small, very clean and quiet Inn are extraordinary. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Thank you William for taking care of us! Rooms and beds are very comfortable. There are a couple of efficiency apartments on site. I did not know this at the time of booking, and would have booked these rooms instead to have the small stove and the larger fridge. Great parking and within walking distance to The Brewhouse and the beach. Bikes are available free of charge. Great variety with the continental breakfast. Coffee and tea out all day. You will no be disappointed!

What a wonderful experience. Great Beds, breakfast each day, wine and cheese each eve AND cookies and milk at bedtime. The cookies were out of this world, homemade!! William is great. Oh and free bikes. Great place to stay. We had a girls weekend and everything went smoothly. Each time we needed a cab it was called right away and we didn't get charges in excess.

As we drove up to the Inn I was a bit scared.its across from a 7-11 where seedy characters hang out at night. We pull in and see it's basically a cheap motel that has been fixed up to look nice. see the photos. its a drive in courtyard with rooms above the parking area. other than that the grounds were clean. But the place really won us over. The service was great. we were welcomed by William, a native of Santa Barbara with a great deal of knowledge out the local history. He explained to us the ammenities and services which include a Welcome bottel of champagne in each room, Free Bicycle rentals so you can cruise the beaches, free movie rentals for the dvd player in the room. a continental breakfast that includes hard boiled eggs, pastries, cereals , fruit, coffee, milk and juice. A free wine and cheese social every day the guests gather around the fireplace on the couches and enjoy a choice of white or red, several cheeses, almonds craisins and a variety of crackers while discussing where they're from and how they enjoyed their day. Later in the evening they have a free Milk and cookie social again meeting around the fireplace.

The pool area was clean though small. the Jacuzzi was shallow at a 2 1/2 feet making difficult for me to soak. I'm 5'11 for reference. the pool was well heated. A small workout room is in the pool area as well.

We were in Santa Barbara for the Orchid Festival, the Earl Warren Fairgrounds were a close drive as well as Mission Santa Barbara. State street is just a couple blocks away. Also the Amtrak Station is very close as well so we could have chosen to take the train there had we known.

Room Service is an External group. there is a menu in each room but it is similar to a delivery service.
All in all if you are looking for a great value, this is a great place to stay. If your looking for a beautiful hotel as a aromatic getaway I would look for something closer to the beach or with a a stunning beach view.

this hotel is part of Santa Barbara Hotel Group. there website is here http://www.sbhotels.com
if you want more info on who they are and their standard of quality.

As for our stay here, the service and the people made it great.
