This is one of my favorite places in the world, and I especially miss it now that I no longer live in Santa Barbara. I'd go in each week to pick up a packet of loose tea from the many glass containers of various teas. It's a warm, cozy, tiny place with odds and ends of gift items, cards, and tea and coffee accoutrements besides the wide variety of teas and coffees. Little tables and chair groupings inside and outside, in front of and in back of the store. Every year on their anniversary, they offer free cake and coffee all day, and it's great fun to go and hang out there to people-watch. They also offer fresh baked goods, such as scones. And there is a column of glass jars full of candies. (I always chose the gummy cherries). All in all, it's a very calming, aesthetically pleasing shop, and I miss it terribly. It's always one of the first places I head for when I come back to visit.
