We stayed at the Bath Street Bed and Breakfast and right away felt at home, Marta was the best she made us feel right and home. The breakfasts were the best they were really good not just some pre-made muffins but everything was home made and great. The outside area was quaint and charming with every detail well thought out. The room was clean and intimate. I will be staying here again and would recommend it anyone else thinking of a place to stay. There were refrigerators available plus any other convience that you would need for your stay.

My daughter and I stayed here right before she started UCSB, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. We both loved the many charms--interesting nooks and crannies in the spacious Balcony Room, wine and cheese, delicious tea and cakes available round the clock, and the easy walk to State Street and downtown shopping. The breakfasts were delicious, and the bed a delight. I have found the place to stay for four years of college visits!

A very nice Queen Anne B&B with great homemade food and excellent service. We enjoyed all the nice touches throughout the whole place. Nice walk to the downtown area (shuttle also available) and we got a 2 for 1 coupon to the Santa Barbara Art Museum to see the exclusive presentation of the Mawangdui Display..which we were not aware it was here for only a short time on the West coast before going back to China. Very clean.

Six of us enjoyed the ambiance and treats of this weekend outing at the Bath Street Inn. The rooms though on the small side were colorful and efficient. We really appreciated the hand served breakfast, tea time and the specially baked desserts available all night. One of the best features was the charming and most accomodating staff member by the name of Marti. She was very helpful with dining and visiting suggestions as well as showing enthusiasm for any of our needs. ....... only two suggestions I have for improvement. The daily wine served was undrinkable-- a local wine (even two buck Chuck) with a palpable taste would be applauded. Also the decor could be updated so it would appear that some effort has gone into a newer look eventhough it is still Victorian in flavor. Eliminate the frilly lace curtains and doilies in the parlor area and capitalize on the charm of the French doors and the outdoor natural lighting.
Would also recommend changing out much of the old lady busy dated wallpaper with paint -- fresh saturated fruit colors like watermelon, kiwi and cantalope......decor and wine aside we found the location convenient as we walked to the mission and State Street and would definitely recommend to others.

This was our first time to a B&B& the Santa Barbara Area as well & we're soooo glad to have spent our time at the Bath St. Inn--- it's charming & the food was all great. It is a very homey place & the staff & owners are all wonderful & helpful. Everything is "presented" in a wonderful fashion. Each room is unique & has it's own character.
It is a "good" walk to "town", but we did it & also walked in the evenings to walk off our "cake calories" !!!!!
We have special memories of our stay here & would recommend it. K & Tom S.
