“Fun and delicious”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Via Vai, which is the sister restaurant to Pane e Vino, has great food, although the risotto is not as good as Pane e Vino. On the other hand their grilled vegetables are grilled for you and haven't been sitting limply around waiting for you. Their pizza is terrific and so are their daily specials. The outdoor area is very pleasant, particularly if you have children in tow. Celebrity sightings.

“Good pizza”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

The pizza we had was excellent as was the salad and the bread served before our meal. Being Halloween the place was busy and the service a little slow. Outside has heaters so it doesn't get too cold.

“Good Italian Fare”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

The food was excellent for the most part. The calamari were not deep fried long enough to have a deep color and so arrived looking anemic, but they tasted ok. The roast chicken was done to perfection and served with fresh vegetables. My partner wanted an Alfredo, which was not on the menu, but they were happy to accommodate him. It was rich and creamy and loaded with calories! but delicious.
We sat in the outside area, which abuts the parking lot, but even so has a private enclosed feel to it.
All in all a good experience

“Perfect”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

My husband and I stopped in for a light snack. (we had been caught in traffic for over 2 hours). The staff greeted us warmly, told us to choose wherever we wished to be seated. Bread came immediately and the server brought the wine soon after. Oil is slightly flavored with garlic. We ordered a frittata with spinach and mushrooms. Edges were crispy but the bottom was not burned. No salt needed which for me is a huge deal.
Servers were attentive but not intrusive. It is a real Italian place. Seating was indoors or out. We chose outside. It was covered, cool and reminded me of a garden. The whole experience was relaxing and really got us a second wind for the rest of our trip.

“Luv this place”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

This little restaurant feels so much like Italy to me for some reason! They have some of the best pizza in Santa Barbara hands down!

When I go I always choose to sit outside on the patio bc for whatever reason it makes me feel like I'm in Italy again (even tho it's just basically in a little strip mall haha). There are always heaters so it's always warm. The service is almost always good and fun ambiance with lots of families.
