“Great Seafood on the Pier”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

We had the most amazing local-caught Spider Crab and chowder at SBSC. Great location on Streans Wharf a short walk from downtown Santa Barbara. The best part was sitting at the bar watching the chef work all the pots with various orders in them and lots of flames kicking up. A really classic old school fish house.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

This was a great suggestion for good meal. The cippino was pretty fantastic and It surprised me that it was as good or better than Phil's Seafood which is north of Monteray. My friend tried their half lobster and ceasar salad special and enjoyed it thoroughly. A great prelude to a wonderful
night at the Santa Barbara Bowl seeing YANNI.

“Great seafood at the end of the pier”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Teeny tiny place but they really know how to move the crowd through. But I didn't feel rushed at all. Thanks to an earlier reviewer I knew to sign in on the board outside. Sat at the bar next to the tanks of crabs and lobsters and watched the cooks in action. Occasionally they would grab one of the big spider crabs off the scales and show it to the customer. What a show! I had the 3 lb rock crab special which came with chowder and a choice of salad. No wine selection to speak of but the local chardonney provided was more than adequate. Friendly and prompt service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends. Not fine dining but definitely a great experience.

“Anything would be good at the end of a beautiful pier!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

The paper sign in is a little weak I guess because I didnt know how to sign in. After being kindof humilated like I was stupid we signed in and waited. About 25 mins not bad because it beautiful. Food was good and beer was cold. The surfer bro attitude from the staff was a little annoying but they sure could smile big when the bill came. Who cares the place is very neat and special I would be a little tudy if I worked there to. Go there JUST SIGN IN IF BUSY!
