“Go on a Tuesday for Happy Hour....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We stopped here on a Tuesday late afternoon for happy hour. The wine was wonderful- by the glass. We ordered a cheese plate and the grilled shrimp. Happy hour is very affordable and the food is great! The service was acceptable- nothing good, nothing bad... Lucy for us, Tuesday is the Farmers market night so we were serenaded by a local street performer- outside seating is a must! It was the perfect setting.

“Great Lunch Spot on State Street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

This cute spot on State Street has a wonderful healthy fresh menu and nice service. My only complaint would be that the wine selection by the glass is very limited and they should offer much more rather than the wines they own.

“Great Food, Service Could Have Been Better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

We chose this restaurant from a list of 5 that were part of a wine and dine package for a concert we were attending. The restaurant is right on State St. so there is plenty to see, you can sit inside or out and we opted on inside since it was so hot with a window seat.

The interior is very clean and open, you can see all the operations.

The menu had tons of wonderful items, everything sounded good. Some of the items we had were roasted Jidori Farm half chicken, Grilled Hollister Ranch grass fed tri-tip sandwich, bistro greens salad and cream of baked potato soup. All were excellent!

We dined a little early, the staff seemed a little more in to talking among themselves than waiting or checking on you. It wasn't crowded and that may have had something to with it. I will say that every time I could get our server to look over he did come over with a smile.

“Good for a glass of wine but food was mediocre”

Good for a glass of wine but food was mediocre. Located in State Street and the bistro has outdoor seating, and is a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine. However, the food is uninspired.

“Great experience/great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

Staff at our hotel identified this spot as somewhere we might like to go. We walked up State Street (from the beach), looking at options all the way. This place did offer it all. Small and larger plate options, dining indoors and out. We sat inside and started with their garlicky and very delicious hummus, served with lightly pickled carrots and onions. REALLY good. Two folks had scallops (generous portions), one salmon, I had the duck breast with confit/potato hash. The gentlemen with scallops found the mushroom risotto accompanyment a bit strong for the delicate scallops, but eaten alone, each was nice. Salmon and duck were both excellent. Best of all, we made "happy hour" so the starter was only five dollars, and so were very good glasses of local wine. Hard to find wine by the glass that you want to drink for anything close to that. And on top of that, our waiter made sure to get back to us before happy hour ended to check that if we wanted more wine, we got it at that excellent price. Nice room with lots of wine bottles as decor and views into the kitchen. Highly recommend for the feeling of calm, the delicous food, and excellent service.
