“Very Average, uninspired...”
Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

Nice building, nice waitstaff. Food...blah. We had abalone appetizer, Caesar salad, sautéed seabass and seared ahi. Tiny little abalone bites, tough and chewy, Caesar tasted strange, seabass was all breading, and ahi was way overcooked. All in all not very good food. Won't go back...

“Great food and service”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Right on the corner of Anacapa and Cabrillo. The food is always great here. If your are wine tasting in the "Funk Zone" this is a great place to go.

“Overpriced for quality of food”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

This was recommended by the hotel - overpriced and the food choice/quality was not that good - better off at the places on the pier or in town

“Worst customer service I've ever experienced.”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

We were on vacation visiting family and they took us to the Fish House while in Santa Barbara. They had eaten here before and said it was good. It seemed like a really nice place and everything was going well until we got our meals. One of the fish platters came out raw inside. We had to track down a different waitress to let her know because ours was no where to be found. I think our waitress was smoking too much of that medical marijuana they have out here cause she was clueless. We has already finished our meals and the replacement was still not out so we told the waitress to forget it. Finally the manager came out to apologize and said, "Is there anything I can do for you?" How about your the manager offer something. Yeah, a free meal. It would have been a little rude to ask for something. Then the bill came out and it said we were "comped". We never got anything for free cause we never got the meal. You would think the manager would just bring out free deserts or something as an apology. When we questioned the manager about being "comped" she became extremely rude and argumentative. She had basically lost all composure and was yelling in the middle of a crowded restaurant on a Friday night. She finally said she was going to take care of the whole check and we walked out (but left a good tip for waitress even though she was bad too). It was definately the worst display of hospitality that I've ever seen. I wouldn't expect that type of customer service from a 17 year old with a lip ring and purple hair working at a McDonald's let alone a fancy restaurant in Santa Barbara. It was actually shocking. That manager should be fired on the spot. It was completely embarassing. I would never go back and would not recommend it to anyone.
