Description: Established in 1985, The Palace Grill is a Santa Barbara landmark restaurant featuring authentic New Orleans-inspired cuisine and a fun, lively atmosphere. Winner of The Santa Barbara's Independent Reader's Poll for "Best Restaurant Service". Located in Santa Barbara's charming Old Town district, The Palace Grill has something for everyone. Our menu features a wide range of contemporary American Grill items with a focus on authentic Southern and Louisiana specialties such as Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, New Orleans Bar-B-Que Shrimp, Blackened Filet Mignon, and delicious daily "Menu Additions". In addition we have a number of exciting Caribbean dishes and a line of Creole-Italian pastas. To insure that we remain authentic, the Palace routinely flies its staff to New Orleans to experience first-hand the magical quality of the city that has inspired the spirit of the Palace Grill. The Palace has been featured in dozens of national publications including Gourmet(R) Magazine, Bon Appetit(R) and USA TODAY(R). Throughout the years, The Palace has also been a favorite of culinary legends (including chef Julia Child and chef Wolfgang Puck) and has served its cuisine to countless global dignitaries - including 5 U. S. Presidents. At the Palace Grill, everyone shares one goal: to give our guests the most extraordinary dining experience possible: every time they visit. Besides our wonderful cuisine, The Palace is known for it's unique style of "Team Service" (which the Nation's Restaurant News called "an idea whose time has come") and our nostalgic nightly staff and guest Sing-A-Long to Louis Armstrong's iconic song - "What A Wonderful World." Come join the celebration known as "The Palace Grill Experience."

The atmosphere was great . Great service and very friendly. We just came in for appetizers . But the atmosphere dragged us in for dinner. I had the chicken with a great sauce . It was awesome one reason why to visit Santa Barbara again .

“Loud and Fun!”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

We eat here our first night in Santa Barbara and it did not disappoint. There is such energy that you can't help but enjoy your meal. Service was great and the bread pudding for dessert would bring us back again.

“I can say I tried it!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012 via mobile

My husband ordered the jambalaya. He said it good but not as good as his mother's who grew up in New Orleans and was a great cook. I had the crabcakes which also had nice sized pieces of crawdads, but it was hard to find the crab. My daughter is a picky eater and ended up ordering a green salad with popcorn chicken. Popcorn chicken was good! For dessert, we shared the Bananas Foster. All that was left was the caramel sauce. Wait staff provided good service!

“You really have to try!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The food was incredible! We ordered one of the set platters for two as it was our first time and it gave us a good flavour of a number of the main dishes. It was truly delicious. We finished with the famous bread pudding and boy was it good? The staff were brilliant and there was a great atmosphere in the place. I want to go back.

“Come and get your Cajun on!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

Oh my goodness! This place is so delicious, it should be a crime... We came here on a friend's recommendation and we were so happy we listened to their advice. We had the appetizer portion of the Divers Scallops and they were creamy and amazing. Then we had the jambalaya which was awesome! The only smart thing that we didn't do was leave room for dessert, but we'll be back for sure. This place is a must visit on any trip to Santa Barbara.
