“Surprised at just how good it was”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

This restaurant was just round the corner from where were staying in Santa Barbara. It happened to offer the best meal of our holiday travelling round California.

It has all been said in the other glowing reviews. We really enjoyed it - and wish we could move it just round the corner from home!

“Delicious Italian in SB”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Ca'Dario is a fabulous Italian Restaurant in Santa Barbara. Voted #1 by the Locals. You definitely need reservations for dinner. The restaurant is small and it does get noisey but for good reason. There is not much room to spread out, but the food is not to be missed. The pasta bolognese was served in a large bowl with homemade spinach fettucine. I could not believe I ate the whole thing. They have a decent wine list. We chose to order a glass rather then a bottle. You don't have to eat expensive here. A salad, pasta dish, and a glass of wine will serve you well.

“Delicious, Neighborhood Style Italian”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

The restaurant is busy (for a reason), somewhat cramped and the service seemed somewhat hurried, but the food was delicious. One course tasted better than the next. The Insalata Romana was an outstanding Caesar style salad, and the all of the pasta dishes we ordered were terrific - hard to recommend one in particular.

“Crowded and almost cramped - but for good reason!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

First time dining here, and I was tempted to leave when we were seated at a two top in between a number of others. You know the tables...where you don't share intimate secrets unless you want your neighbor, who you hope isn't lefty, to know as well. I'm glad I persevered, because the mussels were amazing (so good that we asked for the sauce on pasta) and the whole Branzino (lots of butter, lemon and herbs) may have been the best fish I've had in a while. Wine list was decent and well priced. And the Le Serre Nuove 2010 was a great choice of a red - it paired magically with the mussels and Branzino. Don't miss this if in Santa Barbara!

“Nice Traditional Italian Food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We very much enjoyed our dinner. The calamari steak was tremendously tender and tasty. Seafood pasta was really good as was tuna with bruschetta. Finished with a really good wild berry sorbet and dark chocolate ice cream. The only negative were the tables being so close that it felt like the next diner was sitting with us at one point.
