I went to this restaurant with a friend. We had very fresh and tasty sushi. However this is definitely a pricey place. The giosa was the best I had

Arigato is one of those great dining experiences. We sat at the sushi bar and watched the six sushi chefs and crazy kitchen staff create some of the most amazing dishes. Salmon, scallops, blue fin tuna…was some of the freshest seafood to be found. Even though we had a 15 minute wait before being seated, we never felt rushed. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and the restaurant was full with a line outside. Arigato is a must-try if you love great sushi, a choice of sake and wine, and the entertainment value of this full on staff.

My wife and I had dinner here on our first night in Santa Barbara and had a great experience at the sushi bar with our chef, Buck.

Great wine, soju, and beer list. Food, including uni, octopus, and abalone was excellent. The place was packed and fun, with a Christmas parade out front providing additional quaint charm.

My wife and I rolled into Santa Barbara around 7:30pm on a Monday night. We got over to Arigato sushi a little after 8pm. It was packed. We sat at the sushi bar which we always recommend. The food was really fresh and tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. I always try to find a sushi restaurant while in California and i was not disappointed. Enjoy.

From the miso soup, to the dumplings to the sushi and sashimi--this place was perfect. We did not have reservations and by 7pm it was packed. We were happily able to snag the only table for two that was left. The waiter was very friendly and did not rush us in anyway though there was a line out the door--we did appreciate that. Make reservations if you can!
