On a beautiful sunny afternoon I took a SB Helicopter tour and it was spectacular. It was one of the shorter tours but I felt I got to see a Santa Barbara that not many people can experience...until now. We departed from the private Atlantic terminal and headed offshore to see a super pod of dolphins (maybe 1000). From there we headed back to the coast along the shoreline of Hope Ranch and Hendry's Beach. Next up was the Harbor and a straight on look at State Street that goes on for miles. We saw the Clark estate, which can only be viewed from the air and numerous Montecito mansions before heading for the County Bowl and the Mission. Seeing the Mission grounds from the air, you realize how really big it is. It was back to the airport along the foothills all to soon but a very worthwhile trip. Dan was a great guide and the helicopter itself was very smooth.
