Had the pickles and Swiss ham sandwich and it lived up to the high expectations given the namesake. Yum! Also the free dill popcorn was a perfect touch. The counter service was friendly and they run your food out without the hassle of a table number card. The outdoor seating in the courtyard is beautiful and it's a nice quiet oasis right off of State. So glad we found this place!

We had lunch here during one of our shopping sprees - and we can definitely recommend this place. The sandwiches were amazing, the choice was vast and the price was good. The staff was very friendly and we were able to reenergize for some more shopping :-)

Sometimes you just want a quick meal that is healthy and flavorful. That's what you get at Pickles and Swiss. Located in shopper's paradise, you can get refueled with many tasty sandwiches and paninis, including build your own. The ingredients are colorful and fresh with many outside the box offerings. Portions are ample. Try it... and keep shopping!

Happened to stumble upon this sandwich shop while walking down State St and was quite impressed. The bread is always soft and the meats and cheese are piled on.

I have found, though, that the later in the day you go, the seem to run out of a lot of stuff. They make up for it by substituting other types items in your sandwich.

This place is a little pricey. 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks comes out to about $20+, so some may be put off that.

If you're in downtown Santa Barbara -- this place is worth a try.

Stumbled upon this place while walking down State Street. Thought as a vegetarian I would have trouble ordering. I ended up creating the best tasting sandwich I have ever had! So good- I went back the next day for another one. The staff is amazingly friendly and kind. Great background music and great overall vibe. My new favorite place in SB
