Description: We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.

“Tasty seafood in plentiful portions”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

This restaurant is in a nice position with a good view of the marina. We arrived late on a Monday evening and the place was pretty buzzy. We started with the cold combo of seafood which was much more than described on the menu. We followed with the seafood pasta and seabass which were both tasty and in large portions. The mains came with a cup of chowder which was also good. We didn't have room for dessert. The service was effiicient and helpful. We felt a little rushed but that's because we arrived late, and the place had started winding down at around 9.30pm. I think that this place would be really best for a long leisurely lunch. Recommended.

“Nothing special high prices”
Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

Nothing gourmet here, but lots of energy and a view of the marina. Generous sized bowl of clam chowder, 1 beer, 6 oysters, and dish of deep fried shrimp for $50. There are better options nearby.

“amazing food, location and service”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

we've been to brothy bros both in Ventura (where we found it following our gps' suggestions!) and in Santa-Barbara (where we wanted to find it after a lunch we had in ventura). nothing but amazing! both times we had to wait maybe some 10 minutes to be seated - it was only good, since we had time to study the menu - soooo difficult to choose! - and to have, frankly, the best virgin mary I've ever had. truly impressed by this virgin mary! the food is great great great, clam chowder, crab cakes, carribean stew, nice bit of cole slow, very good service - my partner and I can only recommend this place for quality seafood in a prime location. the prices seemed reasonable, some 22 - 25 for a main (with a cup of clam chowder, rice pilaf or french fries) - some 22 - 25 bucks.

“Brava Brophy's”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Had lunch this week here. Food is fresh, service is quick and attentive. Great view of the marina, good "vibe" from both locals and tourists. You definitely want to make the effort for lunch or dinner at Brophy's, you will NOT be disappointed.

“Views with a side of chowder!”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Go for the amazing view of the Harbor, the people watching and the chowder! Great drinks, fun atmosphere, great for breakfast and lunch, long wait, but worth it!
