“Energized atmosphere, great guacomole and chips!”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

The margaritas are excellent as well. The menu is unusual, not the typical mexican restaurant. We found that the dishes (promoted as tapas size but really bigger) that the waiter recommended were better than the ones we selected. This restaurant is probably best for adventurous diners with a larger group to taste the various tasty options.

“Great Tapas Bar-Different spin on Latin Food”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Not your usual run of the mill Mexican restaurant but dishes from South America, Puerto Rico, etc. Small portions to share so you can taste everything! Will definitely be back!

“Unique experience”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Posh interior with tropical flare and wonderful patio seating. I was impressed with the outdoor decor including the fire pits at the entrance . Enjoyed a large birthday gathering here and the waitstaff were very good and kept our orders straight. The me u is limited but the food is wonderful. If you're looking for an upscale trendy eatery hen this is the place for you. Easy to dress up or classy casual...I wouldn't wear a tshirt or shorts but a summer dress or top and you're set.
Will definitely eat here again.

“A Dance Party in Your Mouth”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

This extraordinary restaurant bills itself as a Mexican and Latin American restaurant – but it’s Mexican food like you have never tasted before. The Chef is so inventive in fact that he has snuck in some subtle Japanese and Thai ingredients to further seduce your tastebuds.
You can either order small plates or full meals, or maybe both.
At our waiter’s suggestion we ordered the ceviche tasting platter, which consisted of 3 separate dishes, each as delicious as the next. The combination of flavours enveloped without overpowering the ultra-fresh slivers of raw fish. Everything just came together and melted in our mouths. We gave up trying to deconstruct the ingredients, and decided to just sit back and enjoy, fighting over every last morsel.
We then moved onto the pork tacos, which consisted of 3 mini soft tacos, with gorgeous pulled pork in an adobe marinade that left us wanting more.
Oh, and the margaritas are also superb. Not sticky and sweet but made with copious amounts of freshly squeezed lime juice perfectly married to the tequila. Bet you can’t just have one.
The dining atmosphere is casual and inviting. The staff are welcoming, attentive and informative.
Don’t miss this restaurant if you are in Santa Barbara. It’s a must!

“Excellent Flavors, Uber Fresh”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous meal at Ceilito! We've just moved here after having lived in Paris for two years with arguably, some of the worlds best food. Both of us agreed this surpassed some of the Micheline rated restaurants we've recently eaten at in Paris. Full flavors and super fresh and healthy. LOVED it!
