I never would have even known or seen about this if we hadn't passed it on the trolley tour. What a majestic thing to see in person! It's a quick stop but worth it. If you're not on a guided tour, be sure to do some quick smartphone research to learn about the history and fun facts surrounding this tree.

We didnt know about this tree. We were just leaving town, took a wrong turn, was driving by it and had my husband stop. Huge, Huge fig tree and nice little story to go with it. Behind Amtrack terminal

Just off State street, close to the train station, this impressive tree is worthy of your time and a photo. Looks like the trees in the movie Avatar. I cannot believe I am reviewing a tree!

it is worth a quick stroll over to the tree and maybe take a picture. Am skeptical of the plaque and story, but then again I'm generally skeptical.
