If you are a bedwetting liberal, do not go here. You will only be frustrated.

If your politics lean to the conservative side, you owe it to yourself to visit. The Center is not a presidential library. It is a center devoted to Ronald Reagan's ranch and his love of the land and horses.

Many important events in the Presidency of Ronald Reagan happened here. These are all documented, but the history is a personal history of President & Mrs. Reagan and their ranch. It is well worth a visit.

A visit to the Reagan centre is worthwhile particularly if you want to be reminded of the 1980's. The guides are extremely motivated and knowledgeable and the whole tour is interesting

Perhaps my expectations were too high? This attraction was good for a quick visit. I am looking forward to visiting the Reagan library next time I am down that way (Simi Valley).

“Your politics don't matter”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Regardless of your politics, this museum is a great place for learning more about the Reagan era. It is very interactive, the docents will go into as much, or as little, detail as you are interested in, the quality of every exhibit is top notch. You can spend as much time as you want and walk out satisfied at your level of interest. No expenses has been spared here and it shows. Not to be seen instead of the Mission, Courthouse, La Arcada, Botanic Gardens, etc. but just an addition to all the wonderful sights Santa Barbara has to offer.

“don't waste your time; go to the Mission, Courthouse, Presidio..”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Although I have lived in Santa Barbara for 15 years I had never heard of this "attraction" nor had any of my friends been there. How it could rank above the Courthouse, the Mission, the Presidio. the Art Museum, the Botanical Gardens in the Things to Do section of Santa Barbara was a mystery to me. And now I have been there to check it out I am still dumbfounded. A few relics of Reagan's Presidency gleaned from the Ranch in a small gallery; entry is free, that's about the only thing that could explain its' popularity. Hardcore fans of RR, one of the US's most ineffectual presidents, should head for Reagan Library in Simi Valley which has a much fuller view of his era.
