Physically, the property is outstanding, typical southern California spanish architecture, specimen trees and plants everywhere, paths winding through artistic landscape spaces between buildings.
Putting greens, croquet area. Room was good sized, bed very comfortable, bathroom ample, tub and shower, beautiful tile floor. We also had a view balcony on 2nd floor. Delightful!

The stay was excellent overall. Only issue was the hotel manager who doesn't know how to treat customers. The grounds are beautiful and the service from the employees in catering and valet was exceptional. We had a 3 room suite and the rooms were awesome.

This is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I am incredibly fortunate to work at a job that holds a conference at the Biltmore each year. The hotel location is spectacular, right on the beautiful Santa Barbara coast. I love walking along the beach from the hotel up north toward Montecito and then south toward Santa Barbara.

The architecture of the hotel is Sanish Revival which adds great historic charm. The gardens are beautiful. The hotel staff is exceptional, from graciously accommodating requests, to greeting me by name, to making certain my stay is pleasant.

We just returned from a 4-night stay and loved every minute. The staff is cheerful, helpful, and sharp. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. And the walls are thick so outside noise is minimal. But because of those great thick walls, cell phone service is spotty. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the use of the Coral Casino is a treat. We did not eat at any of the hotel restaurants nor did we use the spa services. The location is easy to get to and there are several walking/running paths that surround the property. Will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Lets get this straight. I'm an LA-Northern Ca gal.. love living here- have for years. I have been to hotel- stayed also-for many years.
Came with a few friends from France/Africa... Made reservations for lunch. Location/Ambiance of course is great... and now for the downside.
The menu for lunch was very limited. Only 1 or 2 items hot plate- except for usual hambergers.
I and female friend ordered the Cobb salad. Very disapointing(sic). The 2 shrimp were good, the dressing ok, but the big problem was the diced chicken. TOUGH..
The House wine- and the non bottled water was very iffy.
I certainly will stop by again... but why is it so "meh". Maybe just because they can get away with it. Good Luck

Without question, one of the finest Hotels on earth!
This facility is top notch, It was built in the 1920's and has been lovingly restored without taking away any of the old charm. A winner all the way!!

Room Tip: The detached Villas are spectacular but pricey. All rooms are nice because the grounds and pathways...

The property was beautiful. It was very clean. The staff was vey accomodating. The restaurant food and service was impeccable. The rooms were great. I had one with a lanai and a water feature. It was heavenly at the spa. The fitness facilities were good too. I had a meeting here and they were more than attentive and met all our needs.

Room Tip: not a bad room in the place
