Located direcly at State Street in Santa Barbara this Restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, in- and outdoor tables (with outdoor heating even in sommer), lots of interesting people and and exquisite cuisine. The menu is quite short but offers a variety of dishes, a superb wine cellar and very creative and excellent desserts. A 'must' for people loving to eat!

I'm giving this a "Very Good" rating more for the atmosphere than the food. Not that the food was bad, It was good but some dishes better than the others. We shared a bunch of dishes, did not like the tuna tartare at all, the cobb salad was good and a steak dish we ordered was good. We were seated right by an outdoor fire place which I love and there are more than just one fire features so don't think that is the only table to enjoy at. It's a nice, relaxed but up beat atmosphere. The service was so, so...ours was just ok but we were not in a rush. I saw some other tables complaining but in all fairness it was 4th of July and very busy. I would give it a try.

Stumbled across this restaurant while walking down State Street. What a lovely surprise! We had the cheese plate appetizer which was yummy as we got to choose which cheeses we wanted. Our entrees were a vision to behold and delicious; jerk chicken and salmon. We chose a bottle of wine and they were out of it so they gave us a more expensive bottle for the same price. We stayed for hours and were kot rushed out. Overall great food and service: a lovely evening.

Ate here for an impromptu anniversary dinner. Happened to stumble upon the 50% discount they offer for bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Scallops were among the best, if not THE best, I've ever had. Pasta was good, but paled in comparison to the scallops. Live music was fantastic and added to the experience. Servers were friendly, but prices were a little on the high side. Overall a good experience. Would go back once in a while if I were in the area.

We thought the food here was ok but nothing special, wine was nice but in all $100 felt a bit much for what we had.
