This bed and breakfast was ridiculously cute. Each room is a standalone cottage. The owner is an adorable French woman who makes a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning and fresh brownies and cider every evening. A great value and less than 2 miles from State Street. There is also parking available in a tiny lot behind the cottages. I would stay here again.

Our one night stay at The Secret Garden was a very enjoyable experience. Woodthrush accommodated my husband and me and our 16 year old daughter. The furnishings were comfy and quaint. We enjoyed the hot tub right outside our front door which was enclosed by a wooden fence for privacy. The garden is beautiful and enjoying Dominique's homemade breakfast in that setting was a highlight. The owner is not on the premises at all time which might be wonderful for many guests, and a concern for some others if they need a lot of personalised attention.

Room Tip: Woodthrush's 2nd bed can accommodate an average sized person (not just a small child)

We love The Secret Garden Inn. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious breakfast, Dominique! The room was clean, and garden was beautiful. The breakfast in the garden was relaxing to start our day. We will be back soon!

Room Tip: We stayed at the one of the yellow cottage, end of the garden. Very private and quite.

Traveled with my best friend, my daughter and her best friend. We stayed in the "yellow house" and had all the amenities of home, good sized living room with fireplace, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, claw foot tub with shower, we even had a washer/dryer in the cottage. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy. There is an avocado, orange, lemon and clementine tree on the property. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Each night after the sun went down, we enjoyed the hot tub.
Our innkeeper, Dominque is friendly and accommodating. I called to say our wi-fi was out and she immediately came over and corrected our problem. The gardens at the Yellow House are not as well kept as the main house/cottages but we were fine with it...I would definitely recommend the inn and the Yellow House to my friends and family. We truly enjoyed this stay and will come back in the future.

Our nightly visit from Lily the cat was a treat to those of us missing our beloved pets at home.

Our hostess Dominique served lovely breakfasts in the garden--we ate too much and enjoyed every bite. Wine and cheese and munchies at the preprandial time; brownies and hot drinks in the evening--we felt well-cared for. Enjoyed having a private hot tub. Our room was small but cosy, and the bathroom was spacious. Gardens were overgrown in a charming way. Good value--our third time there. We'll be back.

Room Tip: There are bedrooms in the main house but the cottages offer more privacy and their own hot tubs. We...

A piece of France in Santa Barbara. The innkeeper, Dominique, is friendly and helpful and a darned good cook. If you like sleek and modern, this place is not for you. If you like country and a homey feeling and a home cooked breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoon and an evening snack, this is a great place. The bathroom is less than modern but has more storage place than mine at home. Need a rest from sightseeing and traveling? Try the secret garden inn and feel at home. Sit and relax in the living room and have your meals and snacks in the dining room or the secret garden in the back!

Room Tip: There are 2 rooms in the main house and cabins around the back. Free parking and wi Fi.

This was our third visit to The Secret Garden Inn. It is charming - small, private cottages with a hot tub, and for this visit we splurged on The Nightingale room, which has a fireplace and small sitting room. So quiet, private, and lovely! Breakfast is always excellent -- quiche, fruit salad, homemade berry scones and persimmon bread (from the giant persimmon trees the line the patio). Dominique is warm and welcoming, and we can hardly wait to return!

Room Tip: We have not stayed in the main house, but all of the cottages we've stayed in are similar and lo...
