“Clean wharf”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

No feeding the birds helps keep the pier clean. I loved this. It is a pier that is really well kept. There are numerous restaurant with sea food. The clam chowder was wonderful.

“Must do”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Was a fun place to be, with a nice crowd and amazing weather when we visited in April. Lots of seafood restaurants at the wharf. The palm trees lining the street near the wharf added to the beauty of the whole area

“wharf-walking is a must”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

just a terrific unique Santa Barbara destination you must not skip. Watch the pelicans and look for seastars hanging on the pier posts. Food and shops along the wharf all worth lingering around too

“Enjoyable”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

A walk along this pier is recommended; great perspective of ocean, beach and Santa Barbara coastline. Good restaurants. There is parking on the pier, but it is limited and access is barrier controlled (one out, one in system. Restaurants offer parking validation. Good to then follow street opposite the wharf, for good variety of stores, and up the hill to the Santa Barbara Mission.

“Fishy!”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

It's a lot of fun to walk the wharf on a pleasant day. If it is cold and windy, you may want to think twice. It can be very blustery out on the Pier! Fun to see the fisherman haul in their catch and stop for a great lunch or dinner at the Harbor House restaurant or a snack of a "take away shrimp or crab cocktail" at one of the local stands. Also, a great ice cream shop will end your walk on Stearns Wharf. What is a visit to Santa Barbara without that walk on the Wharf!
