If only we had found this on our first day instead of our last. Maybe folks want to keep this place a secret but whether you want a full blown breakfast or just the perfect croissant or other French pastry, this is the place. Even the decaf coffee is great. It is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, a very unlikely location for the best breakfast in and around Santa Barbara.

Push this restaurant up the list because it really is a great bakery/breakfast.

We visited Santa Barbara after recently traveling to Paris this summer. We found the pastries to be quite authentic and delicious. The salted caramel macaroons were amazing. My husband also enjoyed his Kona coffee. I would definitely go back if we were to visit Santa Barbara again.

You can not go wrong with Renaud's - it reminds me of an old world bakery. Delicious cakes, macaroons, coffees. It's a place to see and be seen in the mornings.

The cookies, macaroons and chocolates are exquisite. It's great to have a branch of Renaud's inside of Gelson's too. Haven't had lunch there but it looks good.

We had a delightful al fresco brunch at Renaud's. All the food was excellent. We had muffins, eggs Benedict, French toast and lots of coffee. While it is not the cheapest place in town, it was absolutely worth the price.
