“Fun place to go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

We went as a group to Milk & Honey and if you like tapas, you will love this place! Their drinks are also innovative and fun! Our waitress was really helpful in picking out the best tapas and suggesting drinks to try. The only thing is that you might have to wait for a table, as they are extremely popular! And that's a good thing!

“drinks are sooo good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

We went here for drinks after dinner and found it to be a great place for drinks. Different types of drinks. I had 2 spicy drinks. Something different for me but it was good. The ambiance is very nice with very low lighting. Quiet place for a date.

This restaurant has the best Sangria ever!! They are very busy so make a reservation. The outside is quieter and has a nice heater.

“Too expensive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Great atmosphere. So if you are looking for just that you will find it here after dark. Drinks are good as well but food is just too expensive for what you end up with. Even for santa barbara. The servers, in my experience, are too into themselves to pay attention to the guests. Thats not good for any service industry.
I wouldnt return again, based on my three experiences here.

“Food is good, but overpriced like most tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

I'd give this 3.5 stars if TripAdvisor allowed half ratings.

The food was very good - we had the brie dish, some sort of filet cooked in a cream, and a special of peppers cooked in Pardon. The problem with most tapas places though is that each dish is costing you $8-$15 and isn't very appetizing on it's own, so you are going to spend a good amount of money attempting to assemble what would be a regular-sized entree portion at another restaurant.

Another problem I had is that two of our dishes came served with bread or crackers where the menu didn't mention them at all, which is a problem when one of the persons in your party has a gluten allergy. We ordered the filet-in-cream, as an example, since it seemed like a "meat" dish that she could enjoy wholeheartedly without a problem. But when half of the tapas is toasted pieces of bread, it not only shrinks the amount that is meat but makes it harder for a gluten-sensitive person to enjoy.

(In retrospect we should have asked or told the server about her allergy, but it seems reasonable to expect that the components of a dish listed on the menu are *all* of the components)

We had some drinks as well, which were pretty good - a regular mojito and sangria.

I'd go here again if it was with a group of friends to just get drinks or something small, but I would not be a fan of this place if looking to eat a regular-sized dinner out.

On a final note, I noticed that a lot of other reviews talk about a "trendy" or "beautiful person" vibe here in a negative way, which just seems nuts - the staff was extremely, extremely friendly to us, and when we ate here at 7pm on a Saturday the place as not even half full. At various points we had three different waitresses attending to us (a party of two) or checking in to see how we were. Those types of reviews which seem to care more about the crowd at a restaurant rather than the food itself seem to say more about the reviewer than anything else.
