“Fun Place Right on the Beach with Good Food”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

We were looking for a place to eat a late lunch by the harbor. Brophy Bros was clearly the place to be - packed with a 1 hour wait (at 4pm on Sunday afternoon) - it looked busy, noisy and cramped so decided not too wait. Did not fancy any of the others on the harbor but walked over to the Shoreline Beach Café based on recommendations and TA. Well worth it. Not busy with a 10-15 minute wait for a table on the sand and immediate seating on the patio. We went on the patio. Very good service. We ordered the grilled fish of the day (Halibut) burrito and scampi/chips. They came out fast and were very good. That plus the atmosphere were a winning combination. Cost was about $50 including tax and tip - good value.
We will be back. Their breakfasts are supposed to be good

“Fun and fantastic food on the beach!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

If you are looking for a casual, fun place for lunch or happy hour, I highly recommend the Shoreline Cafe. Their Baja Fish sandwich and grilled fish of the day are fantastic, the wait staff is excellent, and it is just fun to sit by the beach and enjoy the ocean views. On a recent trip to Santa Barbara, we went to the Shoreline Cafe three times for lunch.

I highly recommend this restaurant!

“Great Lunch at a Great location!”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

Enjoyed this place from start to finish. Sat on the outdoor patio, but tables are also available right on the sand. Four of us for lunch mid-week, and there was no wait but yet still pretty busy. There's also a front window available for quick bites and take-out orders.

“Great casual place with your toes in the sand. A must in Santa Barbara.”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

A local institution. Shoreline Cafe serves excellent fish and shrimp tacos. Lots of other great casual food. Be sure to try the margaritas. Service is friendly and casual. Nothing fancy but a wonderful place to hang out on the beach in the sun. Just go. You will be happy here!

“Casual Beach Dining”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

This restaurant is a little out of the way, located on the sand of Leadbetter Beach. But if the locals pack a place, you know it's good. Our party of 8 (locals, out of state, and out of country folks) was told the wait would be 40-45 minutes, but we were seated within 30. The waitress was friendly, answering all our questions. Drinks were delivered promptly and the food was delicious. Servings are large, so we took leftovers home. We followed our meal with a walk along dog beach. Lots of fun! Shoreline serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went for lunch. The menu includes lots of seafood items but has beef and poultry as well. We had a good, relaxing time and look forward to returning on our next visit to Santa Barbara.
