“Wear comfortable shoes. Ride the Electric Shuttle Bus. Have fun!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

A lot to see and absorb. The people-watching can't be beat. You will see people from all over the world. Lots of little shops and art galleries and great restaurants.

Don't let the "homeless" put you off. Ignore them and know that there are many resources for them here; those that are begging only want money for drink or drugs.

Be sure and walk to the beach and maybe you will want to hire a surrey or bike along the "Beach Way" bike path. Have fun. Santa Barbara does have loads of charm.

“State Street that great street....”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

State street is the main street of SB. Everything a visitor might want is found on or near this central avenue.

“the main drag”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Having read some previous reviews I thought the main drag would be full of homeless people and beggars. The street itself is quite attractive; It has some nice shops as well as the usual chain stores. It has a good range of bars and food outlets to cater for most people. All in all a fairly pleasant way to spend an hour or two.

“Lively! Entertaining! Awesome!”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

I love this place! It was very busy, and the people were very friendly in the area. Lots of shops, food, and activity. The security made their presence known which was very comforting as well. Everything happens on State Street! This is a "MUST SEE" for all those in the area. Overall it is a friendly, clean, and beautiful street full of life!

Reviewed July 21, 2013

First time n SB! Didn't expect to walk this much! Worth every step of our 8 miles of walking.
Ate a a few different restaurants that were recommended to us by family and found a couple of our own. Great food.
Shopped and window shopped. Found some great stuff.
