this eatery is all charm, and definitely worth the short drive out of Santa Barbara. The chili sampler was great, but even better was my friend's tri-tip sandwich.

Out of the way, tough to find, worth the effort. Good but not great food. The definition of "rustic"

We stopped in for lunch...weren't disappointed. Rustic charm, stagecoach drivers' bunkhouse, etc... fireplaces, good and quick service, good wine and drink selection, special was grilled salmon with balsamic reduction and side salad...excellent!! Would definitely return...

This place is really awesome. You take a 30 minute drive from downtown Santa Barbara and you're up in the mountains. It's a very (very) old stagecoach stop with a great restaurant inside. On Sundays, it fills up with bikers but don't be afraid, these bikers all ride $30K bikes and are most likely doctors and lawyers. Great food from a somewhat limited menu served in a truly rustic setting. You won't want to leave.

This has historic interest to us. It was a stage coach stop in the early California days. Rustic atmosphere with great food! We were there for lunch and enjoyed the choices. Live music outside was also enjoyable.
