We stopped in for lunch...weren't disappointed. Rustic charm, stagecoach drivers' bunkhouse, etc... fireplaces, good and quick service, good wine and drink selection, special was grilled salmon with balsamic reduction and side salad...excellent!! Would definitely return...

This place is really awesome. You take a 30 minute drive from downtown Santa Barbara and you're up in the mountains. It's a very (very) old stagecoach stop with a great restaurant inside. On Sundays, it fills up with bikers but don't be afraid, these bikers all ride $30K bikes and are most likely doctors and lawyers. Great food from a somewhat limited menu served in a truly rustic setting. You won't want to leave.

This has historic interest to us. It was a stage coach stop in the early California days. Rustic atmosphere with great food! We were there for lunch and enjoyed the choices. Live music outside was also enjoyable.

OK, know that before you make the trek up 154 to Stagecoach Rd, you are headed toward a very laid back casual affair. Average food, but the flavor of the surroundings outside and in is worth the trip. Stone fireplaces, blazing when we went on a rainy day, set a nice quiet mood. Grab a beer, or your favorite beverage and relax. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry.

Stuffed animal heads that are probably at least as old as the place also add authenticity, really!

I had an opportunity to visit Cold Springs Tavern in 2012 with a friend and loved the quaintness and historic vibe to the timber settlement. Quaint little restaurant with highly unique menu, however we stopped for a drink only. Very good
