I used to live one mile from the Tavern, so my review might be a tad biased – apologies for that. I love this place for the sunday crowd. Live music, people watching, loud motorcycles and a great bunch of people. The food is OK, but this place is all about the atmosphere. A one of a kind and a required stop on your way back to civilization, after a hike or bikeride.

Fun location, removed from everything. Worth the drive. Food is great and service is very good - attentive, but not too attentive.

This was a terrific night. What an amazing old fashioned place. This is literally an old stage coach stop and the building is very old and authentic. What an amazing drive into the mountains (not too long at all) to get there.

The food was absolutely delicious. Hot brown bread with sweet butter, crispy green salad with chilled plate (they say Hidden Valley Ranch was invented here), and then Norwegian salmon with a delicious sauce, and a baked potato with sour cream and chives. We ate too much! It was so delicious though, we couldn't put our forks down. The desserts will have to wait for the next trip. Truly special evening...kerosene lamps light your meal. Go, go, go!!

Great place to stop for some liquid libation, music and wonderful trip tip barbecue sandwiches, which are part of the Sunday afternoon fare of the Tavern. Also not to be overlooked is the breakfast or dinners served at the adjacent restaurant. My husband swears by the baby back ribs - his favorite item on the dinner menu. He claims their the best he has ever had.

We had breakfast here. The food was amazing! It was a cold morning, but it was warm and toasty sitting by the fire
