“Excellent local museum”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

I always enjoy going to the Bowers. The special exhibits which rotate in and out are especially interesting.
There are permanent exhibits as well. I have been to the museum on five different occasions
and it is rarely crowded which makes seeing the exhibits much easier. You can languish and read about different items without feeling rushed and I like that. After a couple of hours you can drift through the fun gift shop and eat at the restaurant. I have not personally tried the cuisine but the spot has its fans and I plan to try it next time. I would recommend the Bowers to just about everyone of all ages. It's fun, it's local and it's educational. All in all a good time, every time.

“Went for the Madeline Albright Pin Exhibit”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Bowers is an excellent local museum that often has some very interesting traveling shows. The Madeline Albright Brooch/Pin show was fabulous as were the Fabrege Boxes and decorated items.

“Little gem”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The curator here has contacts that only the largest museums have. The exhibits are first class. Don't pass up the museum gift shop for real quality jewelry and gifts. Also, come at the opening hour and then go to the restaurant for lunch. The best!

“Great place to visit!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Bowers has some cool exhibits -- I just checked out the treasures of the Medici exhibit, pretty interesting and something you won't usually see. Definitely worth a visit. I also think their restaurant Tangata is great, delicious food.
