Don't stay in this place its gross!!...we stayed here because there wasn't any rooms left at the travelodge god this was nasty I itched all day rooms are smelly sheets have this worn smell restrooms need better scrubbing if you don't mind this then stay here but for the same price you get a much nicer room at the travelodge not in the best location but rooms are nice and clean sheets they don't have a smell to them. I definitely don't recommend this place

At first the location was sort of intimidating, but we didn't encounter any problems. It's literally 2 exits from the Mexican border. The staff was very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and came back to a clean room every day. The pool looked clean, didn't get a chance to use it.

We stayed one night at this hotel before we moved to Travel Lodge nearby. It was ok but, you have to pay for internet, we stayed in the smoking room since there was not non-smoking room available where you can connect to the WIFI. The staff were quite helpful especially if you speak spanish. You have to take the last exit before going to border. We went out for dinner and when we returned to the hotel we saw that border patrol units were there and searching the room next to our room. The hotel has a small pool next to the front desk. Go for it if you have not any other option.

Motel means your motor is right outside your door. That is the good news. The bad news is that so is every other car right outside your door. At this border stop, people talk outside your door smoking and laughing until way past midnight. Girls are vomiting in the parking lot. Loud, banging noises are heard in the room upstairs, the room on the left side and on the right side. The noise is soft, then loud, then builds to a pounding boom. After a few distinct taps, the sounds stop. Strangely, it is a consistent pattern in all of the rooms.
Well, that is part of the mystique of near the border motor hotels.

Room Tip: Ground floor near the office.

Stayed here as we flew in late and had an early (next morning) medical trip to Tijuana.

Pros:
1) Close to the border
2) Price $50
3) The shower -- Water was piping hot and flowed great

Cons:
1) Musty Smell -- However that was alleviated when the air conditioner was turned on
2) The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet -- not comfortable to use, but luckily I'm a squatter :)
3) The faucet in the bathroom wasn't clean, although the rest of the room seemed clean
4) Towels looked like the ones I use ONLY for cleaning
5) Place "seemed" unsafe, obviously that was just our perception as we had no problems
6) Majority of cable channels didn't work, however that might have been fixed if we hadn't arrived so late and had the time to bring it to the establishment's attention

So NOT the worse place, but could definitely use some simple upgrades, ie towels, toilet seat, airing out :)

We stayed there for a business trip to the Mexican border. We made the reservation on line thinking that would be acceptable considering it belongs to a national chain but...It is smelly. Staff are very friendly Mexicans but unfortunately poorly trained.

We arrived late, when we tried to get into the rooms the keys were not working. My colleague went back - I watched our stuff- and when he came back and could open the rooms it was so smelly that had to go back and get another room.

He got another room but the lights did not work, he went a third time and he had a room finally. Only that this last room had no wireless...so he could not check his e-mails that night. By the way, like in Europe, you have to pay for the wireless...

The only ammenity is a cold and dirty swimming pool.
