“Great Motel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2014

We choose this place on our road trip because we didn`t want to rush the drive down route 1. It was budget priced and had average ratings. It was clean, comfortable and just down the road from Hearst Castle. We did not use the pool as it didn`t look great but everything else was good. As a Motel for 1 or 2 nights i would definately use this place again.

Me and my husband stayed here because we were looking for a motel that would take pets so we could take our 2 dogs to the beach for the weekend. The price was alittle steep for what you get (the room is small for a single queen room) But this is the busy summer season and still alot cheaper than a place in Monterey. The deposit for the dogs was $15.00 each. If traveling with pets be sure to call the motel itself and let them know so they can give you a downstairs room. There is a very nice grassy courtyard with chairs and tables. Plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs (they must stay on a leash) Although the room and bathroom shower is small it was very clean. The bed is comfortable, with nice fluffy pillows. Bring your own hair dryer if you need one, they don't provide one for you. There is a microwave and nice size refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The TV is a good size but you have limited channels. We didn't use the pool or spa, but we did take a look at them, and they look a bit run down. The beach is located directly across the street with many places to gain access. Restaurants are limited. We went down the road to Cambria. They had a Main Street Bar & Grill that was good and reasonably priced. From here you are 5 miles from Hurst Castle & 13 miles from Morro Bay. Just a heads up Morro Bay has a great farmers market every Saturday afternoon from 3-6pm down main street.

I don't know what else to add... We stayed here. We got flea bites on our legs. And yes, I saw a couple of the little blood suckers on my leg. When I complained to the front desk, they said there was not any avail rooms to move us to. When I asked if we could at least get a discount, management said no.
My wife and I will never stay there again.

This hotel (motel) is located in the middle of nowhere, with just a few other hotels close to it. But the rooms were great: clean, fresh, new, modern and large. Enough parking spaces available and although there is no aircon available, you won't need it (at night it is quite cold outside). Staff is friendly.

Its an ok good hotel for the value. It is a little dated and the side walks there seems to roll up at about the time the sun sets. However the rooms are clean, the bed was comfy and all in all..I felt l got good value...I would stay there again.

A simple but neat hotel suited for passing through (no Breakfast!). Unfortunately there was a power shut down on arrival, but the receptionist was very kind to help us out when in need. The only thing we didnt like was the low shower (shoulder hight). Oh and go for a room on the second floor, those are quieter.

Although the exterior is not impressive, the rooms are very roomy and nice. They seem to have been recently updated. Beds are comfortable, room includes a fridge and good size TV. All except a few of the rooms open to a large grassy interior courtyard, so there is no noise from the road at all. Free wifi worked well. My only complaint is that we can hear the people upstairs walking around, but requesting a second floor room would solve that. There is no AC, but cracking the window solves that here on the central coast!

Room Tip: Try Main Street Grill in Cambria if you don't want to overspend on lunch or dinner.
