Breathtaking ocean views on the back patio. The mattresses need to be replaced they are hard, lumpy, noisy and it felt like the springs were gonna come through at any moment. I understand why there is no A/C here but they should at least install ceiling fans or supply a floor fan for some air circulation. In the heat of the day, it does get stuffy in the rooms. Restroom was very small, the door almost touches toliet. Water pressure was horrible for taking showers. Flat screen TV reception was not good. No fridge or microwave in the rooms. Nice landscaping and pretty flowers all over. Great spots to watch the sunset. Staff was friendly at check in and check out.

Was a bit worried because of some bad reviews but thank god we were pleasantly surprised . Great room , looks to be recently updated . At dinner we had great service and food was great and average price ... Had filet and catch of the day ... Definitely would recommend for a stop on your way through pch

This location was good as it had not only breathtaking views of the ocean and pretty flowers but a fine restaurant to dine al fresco or inside and observe and very nice employees.. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons there were bands rocking away in a different area where barbecue and casual food were served. Alas, our room was too small and too rustic; reminded me of overnight camp Back In The Day. No news station on TV--only place where I have stayed that did not supply this. No hooks in the bathroom--how much could that cost to install?

Room Tip: Signal was very weak on wifi. Suggest choosing a larger room with a view.

I dont know what most of these reviews are talking about. This hotel is amazing! It is a quaint room with a porch where you can look down the beautiful cliff looking over the mist and roaring pacific ocean. The staff is helpful here. The best part of this place is the view of the sunset and the hiking trail onto an amazing private beach. Given it isnt an easy hike but 100% worth it! there are beautiful wildflowers on your way down. It is a lovely fun hike that most people can do. I have stayed here twice and it is one of my favorite places in the world, and I have traveled many places, in the country and out. You will not regret staying here!

We picked this resort to spend our 8 year anniversary. Had been to the inn before to visit but had never stayed. Really wished we had stayed in Cambria. We had a garden room since we were staying with our dog. The room was upstairs so it had a decent view, however, it was very hot since there was no ac and there were several windows that allowed sunlight to come into the roon yet only two of them opened 5 inches each! There was a tiny windiw in the bathroom which ooened out to the stairwell that gave a lovely view to passers by! There was also no refridgerator and no phone so I couldn't call the front desk when a tour bus of 20 people arrived at 2:17 am honking their horn, talking on their phones, and yelling. The walls were thin so I ciuld hear the snoring of our neighbor all night long, and the walls shook due to some weird, constant vibrating noise that went on all night long, every night! Was so dissatisfied! Will never stay there again!

Room Tip: Don't go there!

The hotel is a disaster! This is the worst ever hotel we've stayed, more ironically, we paid but didn't stay there... We were a group of 21 people of 10 families, moms and kids. Can you imagine? We made reservations and paid in adance. However, when we arrived at the hotel it was said closed! But obviously, there was staff in the front desk who told us he needed to get approval from his manager to open the door. Although we "begged" and no choice we had to call the manager by ourselves. The hotel line was picked up by the service vendor, the lady was very nice kept paging the manager, but in vain. We called the police but still could not find the MANAGER! It was then late night, everybody was frustrated and kids were freezing. We waited until 7am in the morning, still nobody helped... The poor staff still refused to help us. We were so disppointted about this hotel. We needed water, rest, we could no longer wait, therefore we move forward to our next destination with pain.

We called the front desk to check the reason, the reply was cold and he only said he had no authority to answer the question and needed the manager to call back us. We waited and waited, nobody called! When we called back the front desk, he told us the manager could only call on Monday, because it is her Sunday! But how about ours? We paid the hotel, if don't give us decent service, at least a room where we could lie down, go to bath room...

We wouldn't stay in this hotel or recommend others to stay. If you are lucky enough, everything moves smooth, it is fine. But if you happen to need help, even a little bit, it is nightmare! You never know what happenes... With beloved ones, do not take chance.

We want to thank you for taking the time to write this review. It was very unfortunate that your experience with Ragged Point Inn did not work out. Since your review, we have made changes with certain procedures so this will not happen again and all accommodations for guests are attained. When these multiple reservations where made, we communicated that if your group arrived after 10:00 PM, a call or email must be placed to Ragged Point Inn. This communication did not take place and our night clerk could not get a hold of you. We are truly sorry for our part and the inconvenience it caused.

The double beds are small and uncomfortable. Views can't be beat. Great stopover at the end of a PCH1 tour but wish the sleep would have been better. Fireplace kept the chill out of the room. We had a double cliff overlook room and it was spacious but smallest beds for four of us all over 5'8" including two over 6 ft tall. Were very happy with the resort in itself - great walks, great overlooks, restaurants were just okay, gift shop had some unique local art, and the hummingbirds were just EVERYWHERE so that was cool. Nice friendly people here at the coffee bar and gift shop in the morning, July 4. Cambria is a half hour drive south (next stop for fuel) - be sure to stop at the sea elephant rookery before Cambria, what an awesome experience that is!!
