Stopped in here at lunch, had to wait in line because it is very popular, but was rewarded with the best pastrami sandwich I have ever had. Make sure you stop here! (staff was a little curt, though).

Thank Phillip D

Picked up 2 to-go sandwiches here--a veggie and turkey. The veggie was very good and the turkey ok. As others have said, one is enough for 2 people. The pickle in the box made the tortilla chips soggy, so if you don't want soggy chips...

We had read the admonitions about having to wait in a long line, so we timed our visit to Hearst Castle so that we would be at Sebastian's before noon. We walked right up to the window, but by the time our food came the line was out the door. As advertised the hamburgers are fabulous. We bought a half-pounder and split it. There was plenty for both of us. There was a couple from the Netherlands next to us and before they ate they photographed their sandwich saying their friends at home would never believe it! It was a chilly morning, so the sunny patio with small tables was very inviting. They also have picnic tables under shade trees for warmer days.

Quaint place on the outside, but was closed. Hard to imagine that there was a whole community in this area as there are only 5 or so houses and what is or could have been a religious order,. But the beach makes up for it!

In hindsight, we could've lived with just the French Dip. It was amazing. And the pickle and chips were enough to make a mid-day meal for two. The order of onion rings was nothing short of perfect and we finished every last one - but it was a bit over the top. But even working together we could not finish the second sandwich: a delicious blue cheese and roast beef concoction that was just too rich for the two of us! The hardest thing I did all day was let that half of a sandwich go to waste.
