It's been voted Best in Marin, and for good reason. This upscale casual family run place is truly exceptional for the range of authentic and delicious tastes.

The chips and salsa are unique, house made, and truly exceptional. The guacamole is wonderful.

The refried beans that accompany most dishes are a special white bean that is so delicious!

My favorite large combination plate is the traditional chili relleno, cheese enchilada, and shredded beef taco. OMG! This is heaven. Rice and beans included, though you can substitute salad for the rice or beans if you prefer.

I also love the Cornish Game Hen, that is twice fried with a special sauce. It is to die for.

There are so many good dishes on the menu, including the spicy seafood burrito, the shredded chicken with rice salad, the spicy Diablo chicken enchiladas, and so many more dishes.

You must try Las Camelias, it is a nice decor, family friendly, and truly in a league of its own.

Las Camelias always is good. We tend to order the same dishes, but they are well prepared and ample. The menu is traditional American-Mexican ... tacos; burritos; tostatas. Some of seafood specialties are very good. Service is prompt and courteous.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Not only was the food done to perfection, especially the shrimp enchiladas which were recommended by the waiter, but the service was impeccable! Will definitely return next time we are in the area!

I have been going here for 20 years. This is gourmet Mexican cuisine, but still prepared in a traditional manner, so you will not be disappointed that it is strange or different.

The owner chef takes many traditional dishes, and works his magic to elevate them to the best possible taste, texture, spiciness, etc.

The menu is quite varied, with seafood, beef, chicken, and all the terms you have come to expect.

So... in summary... if you like traditional Mexican food, you owe it to yourself to try Las Camelias.

Comfortable and casual, but nicer than some.

Oh...my favorite dishes, among many others;

Traditional chili relleno
refried beans
salmon burrito
cheese enchilada
carnitas enchilada
grilled chicken
Any special dish on the menu!

Wonderful food in a family setting. All the food is fresh and delicious. We were a group of 10 people, including kids. Highly recommend the guacamole and quesadillas, which were hot and fresh. Burritos, enchiladas, tamale, fish tacos all super. Even the refried beans are light and yummy. One of the children found the red sauce on the kids' plate burrito too spicy, but that's a minor critique. Good list of Mexican beers as well. All in all, for 10 people, the total was $195 plus tips. Very reasonable. Highly recommend for an informal dinner with family or friends.
