Never would have suspected we would find such a terrific, fun dining experience in tiny San Miguel. We were in Paso Robles for wine tour and every restaurant was booked - we arrived at 10th St Basque with no reservations a bit later than their evening 'seating', but were welcomed with open arms and good spirits. The ambiance was eclectic and the food (served family style) was home cooked and delicious. It really was like stumbling into a great private party. It is not fancy- not whitetablecloth haute cuisine, instead it is like many of the small country relais or tavernas one might happen upon in Europe. The experience is the thing....We will definately be back.

The food here is authentic and well crafted. The staff was wonderful. I felt like I was sitting in a kitchen in the Basque region. They serve family style with more than enough for everyone. The price was so reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone in the area.

For paying nearly 400 dollars this food is horrible, the enivorment nice, and they dont even have the authenticness to brew their own tea, nesta, which costs seperate. the food may seem authentic and lots of work in the cookbook, however when they make it you can taste the cheap ingredients and probably store bought processed, like campbell soup, etc.
Perhaps I am a food snob and know too much, but its for you if you dont have much experience in nutrition and havent cooked all your life. Let me say this they can fool most of the people but cant fool all of the people all of the time. This business is all cash, and you have to make reservations on their time. Genuise business plan.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it will be our first choice in the future when entertaining friends and family who are visiting the area. The sitting is family-style, with everyone seated at the same table, allowing for the opportunity to interact with others. There is no ordering from a menu, you are served whatever the chef prepares and in our experience(s) there the food quality has been great. Everyone found the food delicious and the setting unique and entertaining. If you want to take guests out to a dinner they will not forget, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic, food from the heart, cooking with a melding of flavors that is unbelievable! An event and destination dining! Group dinning was never so good and contributed to the eating experience. My wife and I have been driving through San Miguel for years and missed eating here since there is only one seating per night. However, now we are planning a trip back just to eat here again. The atmosphere of the restaurant was totally warm and relaxing and our fellow diners were also in a mood to enhance the eating experience. The meal was composed of many courses, some of them being; carrot soup, next a fried wanton with basal and cream cheese this was followed by crab cakes and then roasted potatoes and meat pie. There were more but, I think I missed some. Dessert was a bread pudding. Just fantastic! A great value and a dining experience. Go out of your way not to miss this restaurant!
