Picked this hotel b/c it was close to airport and allows dogs. Only stayed one night, but it was really a charming hotel. I would definitely stay longer if I had to be in the area longer. Nice sized room with loaded kitchen. Clean, quiet. Great value. Short drive to a park on the bay was an added plus.

I enjoyed staying here very much. The exterior of the hotel looks old and worn down, but the rooms were very nice and super clean! The room looked new and you wouldn't think it look so nice inside from the outside. The suite had one bedroom and kitchen, very convinient to store drinks and felt like a home away from home. We checked-in early without a problem and the staff were extremely friendly. They have a free breakfast every morning, and was tasty. They had eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, pancakes and waffles with juice and fruit. The food isn't fantastic, but satisfying and it's better than spending money each morning going to a breakfast joint. I was able to print tickets for Alcatraz and the city pass from the lobby, free of charge. The only downside is the distance from San Francisco, it's about a 20-30 minute drive from the hotel to Pier 39. We have navagation, so it's wasn't too difficult to get around. But without navagation, I would have been a bit frustrated since the city is a little confusing. Otherwise, the location is convinient, next to the freeway and target is across the freeway, along with restaurants and other shopping stores. I would recommend this place and will definitely stay here again.

This is your typical Residence Inn. My room had a separate kitchen, living area, bed area, and bathroom. Simple breakfast was included (juice, coffee, tea, eggs, cereal, pastries, bacon, waffles, alternating bacon and sausage, alternating French Toast/Biscuits with gravy, other). Not a bad set-up if you like having the ability to go back to your room with or after breakfast. There was also a Manager’s reception Mon – Wed with beer, soda, and finger foods.
The layout of this Residence Inn from others I’ve stayed at was that the rooms were housed on two floors in numerous separate buildings, with small concrete paths and courtyards between buildings. You accessed the rooms from the outside, which also means you have to walk outside to get to the front desk and breakfast/reception area.
The rooms looked a little dated (the TV was not a flat screen, and the walls could use some new paint), but they were clean and had all the necessary utensils and cooking items (including microwave and toaster) so you could make your own meals.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They have directions to local attractions and shopping.
The grounds were kept clean and had nice foliage.
Be aware that when driving in this area, many streets have dividers so you can not simply turn left into a parking lot. You either have to complete a U-turn or go around a very long block. Nothing was within walking distance.
Overall this was not a bad place to stay.

A mixed bag. Although this property looks a little old, the room was spotless and well maintained. It appears that all rooms have exterior doors, and the upper floors all have stairs. The location is central, meaning it is not particularly far from either Silicon Valley or San Francisco, although it is not close to either, either. Calling it Residence Inn Airport is a bit of a stretch, since the airport is not adjacent by any means, but it can be reached in 15 or 20 minutes. The hotel can be tricky to get to; it is located on one side of a divided street, requiring U-Turns for most approaches and departures. The breakfast was served 7-9 every day, which for me is too late on a weekday, and too early on a weekend.

The room is fine for the most part, clean, equipped with full kitchen etc. however upon entering there was a bit of smell. I turned on the AC and let it run for a while and the smell was no longer as obvious. During check-in, we arrived late and was tired. The staff wasn't very friendly and was argumentative when tried to request for two beds. They insisted on giving us a room with one full bed and a pull-out because I booked the room from Priceline. I understand if the other room with two full beds requires a different rate level, but I certainly didn't need the attitude.

I left my laptop locked at the hotel (during my 6 week stay while going thru a medical procedure i was trying to keep my family close to me) my husband came home and because the laptop was on and open he saw the maid knock over my laptop. When we complained and were told that we would have no problem. My husband saw it so no problem!!!!! Yes problem!
They stated after I went home that unless my husband knew exactly the time by the minute,THE TIME BY THE MINUTE i would not be reinbursed even thou he saw it, even thou we could say the day and the time of between 9-11am it didn't mattter. They wouldn't do ANYTHING.
This was not the only problem.......they overcharged my visa by $547. NO EXCUSES!!!! the management needs to go!
