“Not worth the effort”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Best thing about the area is they have a marina and windsurfing but it isn't a very picturesque place to head for. You can do far better if you want to spend time by the bay.

“educational for young kids”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

This is a very educational and fun place for young kids. The place is not so big so it would take around 1 hour at the most to check out the whole place. Kids will surely be happy to be here

“Great views in a outdoor space right on the SF Bay”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

There is not many places on the San Francisco Peninsula where you can have great views on every side and walk right up to the water. Some months you can even see Sting Rays in the water when high on the bluffs of Coyote Point.

If you have kids, get the Coyote Point Museum Membership. It's cheap, and gets you into the whole park for free, otherwise you pay $2-$3 per car per day.

The park has a large playground with a big slide and lots of fun for the kids, but Coyote Point itself is 20 or so acres right on the bay. The playground is just one corner of it, so go explore. There's walking paths throughout, bbq and picnic areas, horseshoe pits, beaches, a marina, etc.

The Coyote Point Museum has animals presented in a zoo, but one that the kids feel close to the animals. It also has seasonal interactive exhibits and exhibits on the local coastline and habitats.
