“The BEST taqueria in Northern CA....period!”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Great food prepared while you watch (and drool). Long assembly line of all of the ingredients...and there are many choices! Truly an outrageous selection of the freshest ingredients, expertly prepared to your specifications.

I love the "burrito bowl".... a tasty combination of rice, beans, meat of your choice, lettuce and pico de gallo. This is just the right size and price ($5.25) and hits the spot without forcing you to take an afternoon siesta. You can pick up a complimentary side of chips, and enjoy the awesome salsa bar. Service is very friendly and efficient, and the tables are quickly cleared for the next hungry guests. I live in Sacramento, but travel through this area on business, and this is by far my favorite taqueria in all of northern California!

“Go.....just go.......”

Assembly-line process but always a line...and, according to my dining companion who grew up in West Texas...arguably the best cheap, fast Mexican food around.

“Loud but delicious”
Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

The food is authentic and very good. They make it right there in front of you so when chopping the meats it gets very loud!

“Best Mexican Food”

Easy, inexpensive, fresh, delicious. Pancho Villa is our favorite burrito and our favorite mexican place. A quick meal before the movies or anytime.

“Fresh, healthy and delicious Mexican food”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Pancho Villa is a successful Mexican restaurant that makes an effort to provide fresh and healthy choices in its menu. According to their site they never use lard, MSG or preservatives, only fresh ingredients. When you walk in you can see how the food is prepared in front of you. Most meats are grilled and there is a choice of wheat and spinach tortilla for your burritos and quesadillas in addition to the flour ones. The place is very clean and well lit. Sometimes it can get really crowded and tables can be too close for my taste. I usually order take out from here and the food is always great. If you are vegetarian, there are plenty of choices and you will not be disappointed. The salsa bar is one of the best that I have seen in any Mexican restaurant. It is frequently monitored, restocked and cleaned by the staff.

My favorites are the super grilled vegetable quesadillas which comes with a small serving of guacamole and sour cream, and the chicken or carnitas (pork) tacos. In addition, you have a choice of beans (black, refried, pinto) and salsas (mild or hot). Sometimes they have specials during certain times (for example, tacos for $1 in the afternoon weekdays)
