Best Western Coyote Point Inn
Ranked #1 of 12 Hotels in San Mateo

My wife and I stayed here 13-15/29-30 Sept 2012.\This Hotel was very good value for the money. The front desk staff were very helpful and cheerful as was the shuttle drivers. We found the rooms very good, clean and quiet, especially the room that we had on our return.(4th floor) they looked as if they had been recently refurbished. The hotel isnt the closest one to the airport and is remotely situated (no restaurants) however there is an excellent restaurant at the nearby Holiday Inn.If you are planning to go to SF then utilise the excellent complimentary shuttle that the hotel offers and take the BART (Train) from SFO Airport $33 return for two people. Dont try to park in the City very expensive, unless you want to get there at the crack of dawn. We would also like to thank the resident Racoons that entertained us one night as they scuttled around the car park and dumpster (we dont have them in the UK). Overall a very good hotel we would definitely stay ther again if we were to visit SF again. Give the front desk staff a big thankyou from us for there cheerfulness

Room Tip: Suite on the 4th floor

This was a great alternative to the much higher priced hotels that are only 3 miles closer to the SFO. Room and bath were sparkling clean, I didn't feel compelled to put on slippers for my middle of the night bathroom visit! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great and comfy bed and pillows. Enjoyed the rich colors of the room and furniture. Free parking! Easy access to hot tub, sauna and exercise room (even though we didn't take time to use them.) Free wifi and internet as well. Loved the cute restaurants close by in Burninghame, but never could find fast food! Breakfast included had good variety including eggs and sausage. Be sure and have a waffle! Room was spacious including a sofa (slightly worn cushions), fridge and microwave.

Don't be fooled by the "+" in this Best Western +
Rooms are regular BW, nothing less, nothing more.
However, the terrible location of this hotel along the freeway combined with paper thin walls between rooms are not compatible with a good night sleep. I was able to hear everything that was said –and done- in the adjacent rooms.
This said check-in and check-out were done quickly and shuttle pick up and drop off were satisfactory.
As I took an early flight and thanks to endless security lines at SFO I did not have the time to experience the breakfast.

Room Tip: Choose a room a far as possible from the higjway. This sid there is nothing you can do with the noi...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write you feedback. I am sorry that freeway noise was excessive. However, the sound wall built along the freeway deflects most of the noise. Besides, for light sleepers, upon request we can always accommodate guests away to the far side. I am very sorry for inconvenience. On the plus side, being in close proximity to freeway and airport gives us a unique advantage of getting to San Francisco airport or the destination with ease. Warm regards.

We booked several rooms at this location due to the good price and relatively good location to the city of San Francisco. We had rented a car and did not want to stay in the city and pay $30+ a night for parking. We appreciated that this place had free parking, and complimentary wifi and breakfast every day. That said, this is a basic hotel with standard rooms. Everything you needed was really there, but no additional comfort details. The breakfasts were decent, but we stayed here for a total of 3 nights, and breakfast each morning was identical. I would appreciate if the breakfasts would change up a little bit.
Service was sporadic. Upon checking in, the receptionist had friends waiting for her in the lobby to hang out, and seemed very rushed in checking us in and answering our questions. and as soon as we left toward for our rooms, she left her post and proceeded to join her friends in the lobby. We also booked two hotel rooms at the same time, and she dismissed us rather rudely when we asked if our rooms were close together. This seemed rather unprofessional to me. However, upon checking out, the front desk receptionist was much more professional, offering us a the schedule for the shuttle ride to the airport and a morning call.

This hotel is close to the San Francisco airport, and 3rd Ave in San Mateo (which has a lot of restaurants). This was a family trip and we enjoyed our stay.
Getting to the hotel is a little awkward (only because they are right off the highway which complicates things).
The rooms are clean and well furnished. They offer free breakfast and WiFi. The breakfast is pretty good including hot waffles. They also have a hot tub, fitness room, and real sauna/steam room.
Only gripe I have is that the batteries in the safe don't work in most rooms, so majority of rooms the safe does not work.
Also the water pressure is a little low, but the water is hot.

We stayed here for 1 night after a very long flight and before the next one. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious comfortable room. It was very reasonably priced especially as we had free breakfast and used their complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Only complaint was that when we arrived and checked out the coffee making facility in our room there was no milk. We asked at reception if we could buy some but was told they couldn't get hold of any milk until the next morning! Two girls who were on reception were very friendly.

I chose this hotel based on the Trip Advisor review and was not disappointed. Only 5 minutes from SF airport with nice clean rooms, free parking, wi-fi and breakfast, and rates that cannot be beat. I will stay there again when I return.
