Our grandkids like this place because they love spaghetti and it does offer good price for children's meals. For us, adults, the food was mediocre and salty esp the chicken marsala and lasagna. The sourdough bread was good. However, we had a long wait for food to be served and
waiter did not even bring the bread first. The new garlic shrimp fettucini was ok, at least less salty.
The good part was that the price of meal includes soup or salad, main entree, ice cream and a beverage. Since the restaurant does not have carpeting in dining area, it was very noisy with people moving chairs, kids crying, loud talking as voices carry with echoing.

I have been to the locations in San Diego Downtown and Huntington Beach a few times and have been pleased. The San Marcos location was a bit disappointing. We got seated on a Saturday night at 6pm very quickly but sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone came to ask for a drink order. There was no apology from the waitress but maybe she didn't know we were there, not sure who is to blame. We ordered the Sicilian Garlic Cheese Bread as I have at other locations. It came within 5 minutes of ordering it but it was slightly undercooked and not hot enough. Overall the main entrees we ordered were decent (especially happy that they serve gluten free pasta) but nothing spectacular. The server was very attentive at times and at other times like waiting for the check, she took her time getting it to us which doesn't work out well when you have kids. I would definetely try this location again because maybe it was just an off night.

Food was good, nothing to write home about though. However for the price it was worth the trip to try it out

It's a Family place for sure! Lots of kids, large crowds, but the food was good for the price. Felt sorry for our server because he was slammed with several large parties to service.
All in all worth the price.
