Not the best and not the worst place to eat. One price for all you can eat plus pay for a beverage. This was a convenient place to eat when we stayed in town, ideal for families.

Really liked our visit. Everything was perfect. Ate so much I thought I was going to pop. Very good atmosphere.

The food was dry and tasteless. We usually like buffets, but this one was terrible. The food wasn't fresh and the place was dirty.

We stopped here for a quick bite on way south on 101. Staff was very pleasant but food is not! There was a carvery with an actual carver and choices of steak (cold, dry and overcooked), roast (same), turkey (same) and ham. All of these tasteless choices would have done just as well under an heat lamp. Other protein choices were dry fried chicken and some suspect fish. Vegetable selections were canned green beans and overcooked broccoli. All other selections were high fat and/or high carbohydrate sides. Salad bar OK with a decent selection of condiments but one does wonder how often the serving pieces are sanitized....soups were bland and mostly starchy. This chain used to have decent simple food for the hurried traveler but it has gone downhill. Recommend driving on.

If you are looking for a romantic dinner, this is the place, NOT. If you have a couple hungry kids who'd rather pick their meal from many options than being tied to a menu, this is a good place to eat. Going to a Home Town Buffet is not on my to-do list when I am traveling on business, this time we were staying at the Embassy Suites for a long weekend with the kids and the HTB was just to right place to visit for a dinner.
