I'm actually glad that the third night was not available when we booked. The racket starts at 6:30 am; screaming babies, clanking plates, the roar of a crowd of people clamoring for a free breakfast! Got to bed late and I never imagined that the morning would sound like I was tent camping in the dish pit of a busy Denny's! What a nightmare! I will definitely find somewhere more quiet for our third night.

Room Tip: Stay away from a room over the kitchen!

Dear ChileChef;

My sincere apologies that you were not able to sleep in as you had anticipated. We work hard to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience but you are correct, many families stay with us over the summer time which increases the noise factor in our Atrium during our complimentary breakfast time frame. Should your travels bring you back to San Luis Obispo it is my hope that you would give us another try and we would do our very best to accomodate you in a quieter section of the hotel.

Thank you very much for your feedback; I wish you all the best.

The conference rooms were clean, appropriate temperature and comfortable. The rooms were great and I was able to rest comfortably. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the complimentary manager's reception was good as well. I enjoyed my stay!

Arrived at the hotel at 3:05pm, the check in time was 3:00pm. Room wasn't ready, had to wait about half an hour.
Unpleasant, but everything else was great! Rooms are spacious, extremely clean, beds are better than I have at home, view is great, dinner is reasonably priced and better than most nearby restaurants.
They have a reception until 7pm where they offer free drinks from the bar. Enjoyed that.

Room Tip: Give them some time. Arrive at 4pm.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast is great. The evening mangagers reception is a great place to unwind after a hard day. Frank does a great job making sure everyone has a great time. The rooms are very comfortable and I consider this a home away from home.

This was our first stay at the Embassy Suites in SLO where we visit fairly often. It has the original Atrium design which has advantages and disadvantages. A quite good hot breakfast is included as well as an evening reception with snacks and cocktails. Both are heavily subscribed to, but add great value to the stay. They are admittedly short staffed in most areas which led to waits at the front desk and for housekeeping. Nonetheless all were very congenial. It is conveniently located near shopping, but the sign for the hotel on Madonna Rd is quite small and easily missed.
The hotel is actually not on the road, but back off the road behind a portion of the shopping center.

Room Tip: Room selection here is paramount. It is right on the Highway, so upper floors away from the highway is where you want to be. The North and Northwest facing room are best, especially #' 403-407 and definitely not the 30-57 series rooms. There is also the Atrium noise which is a separate challenge as most rooms open onto the atrium. There are a few rooms not on the atrium and these are best. Would definitely not want 1st or 2nd floor rooms on the atrium.
