First we have to say....The staff was top notch!!! We were greeted by a friendly young man named Taz. This guy was one of the most professional people we have met in the hotel industry...Kudos!
The room was your basic room without anything on the walls for decor...but on the possitive side...we had a refer, iron, micor, coffee pot, TV and a heater that worked! The bed was just ok and the pillows...well we should have brought our own.
As for location, it could not be better...and only about 30 seconds to get on the hywy. If it's breakfast you want...you can't beat walking right across the street to the "cowgirl cafe" and enjoy some of the best food money can buy.
We may not tell people to stay here for their honeymoon...but when on the road, it's a good value for the price.

Manager said was same for all units. You control heat by turning units on and off. Heater buzzes when it cycles off, then blows cold until YOU get up and turn up the temperature.

Ramada name now means nothing and never again will I stay at one unless hard up and then only after reviews.
Refused to give us a new room. Save your precious time and money.

This is only the second time i posted a review. Seating in my hotel room this morning disappointed at myself for not reading the review for this hotel, after all what could go wrong with the Ramada name and properties? I guess it is true that travelers should never assume anything. Upon checking in the hotel manager explain the check in and out procedure informed me that the office will close at mid night but someone is available 24 hours. I give the hotel manager credit for being accommodating and professional but this is where everything good ends. The hotel room popcorn ceiling do bring memories of the 60s but come on this is 2013. The safe is not working the security lock is missing , rusted towel shelves and the towel holder is missing. I can tolerate all of this but not when I step in to take a shower. This is why I am writing this review. Parents Beware! The water in the shower changes from extremely HOT to extremely COLD many times so if you have small children please do not leave them in the shower alone cause they could get burn from the extreme Hot water. Not sure why this property of Ramada is operating under this condition that can burn young children?

We stayed at the Vagabond Inn the second night in SLO and had a better room (better looking, cleaner appearing, and larger) for a cheaper price. Continental breakfast was very, very limited at both locations. Ramada Inn Olive Tree had bagels (no cream cheese), muffins, juice, coffee, and little sweet rolls. We refused to stay a second night because of the lousy offerings. As stated, Vagabond's breakfast was almost identical, but the room was better and cheaper.
