Had a great evening on the patio to the chorus of frogs from the creek...so much fun and great food. Had a wonderful table hidden in a corner, which could be very romantic. The menu has a great selection of starters, main courses and sides and salads. We opted to try out two starters, the wild baby arugula salad and the wonderful mushroom and bokchoy. As a vegetarian, this was a very satisfying dish served with jasmine rice and really hit the spot. Could have been a bit salty, but since we were sharing it the salt was not too much. The arugula was great, tasty and the dressing perfect. The Lettuce Wraps with the tofu were spectacular. We really enjoyed the fresh carrots and jicima that came with the wraps and the lettuce was fresh, crisp and so good wrapped around the well seasoned sauteed tofu.
The service was helpful and very good. Many times two "older ladies" can be put in a corner and ignored. We were not. We had great, attentive service, wonderful food and a great evening.
This was another great meal at Novo, having been here about 3 years ago and enjoyed the meal then as well. It is nice to come back to a place and find that they continue to make good food, and have great service. So many restaurants slip after a few years, but not Novo. Looking forward to our next trip to SLO and Novo.
