“An actual meal grown in their garden”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

My husband and I had lunch and a dinner here and both were memorable.
Our Dinner here was last minute as we were not too hungry, so we split a salad and an entree.
Both were absolutely superb! We brought a local Pinot noir, and the restaurant doesn't charge a corkage fee for wines from the central coast.
Our server was wonderfully open and added to the dining experience with her sincere spirit.
We will return!

“Carlos in the bar is the best!”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Our group of four walked in just before 2pm and requested a table on the patio outside the bar. The receptionist indicated that the bar was set to close at 2pm, but to see the bar manager to see what was possible. That is how I met up with Carlos, and he went above and beyond to offer us a nice table, and promptly suggested a terrific albacore sandwich for us to share (as it was just snack time) and paired it with fresh-made thin and crispy chips - all in the nick of time before the kitchen closed. He didn't have to do any of it - he could have sent us for the door - but because he did, he did the restaurant a great service. He's a true professional at his work and we'll make it a point to come back, and tell others about our great experience.

“A little expensive”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We stayed at the Sycamore Spa and decided to have breakfast. The place is very nice, server was prompt and courteous. We ordered the huevos rancheros and eggs ham plate. It was very good! We kind of new what we were getting into by just looking at the place cause its very plush. The bill came out to be $45 bucks for the 2 of us. A little pricey but it was expected. If your on a budget drive to Pismo.

“Unique and Delicious”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

There were four in our party and we opted for the chef's choice--he choose what to serve us. In each of the five courses, plus bread, he served the men one dish and the women another--we all sampled our partners' food, so we had an excellent variety. I had read the reviews where the small--maybe 4 ounces?--of soup was poured into a large bowl, and there was very little actual soup, but it was delicious, and by the end of the meal we all were full, and actually could not eat all that we were served. We had fun sampling all the offerings, and I would definitely order this again! Oh, we also had each course paired with wine, for $25 more a person, and the wines were all local, which gave us some idea of where to go the next day, and all were nicely paired.

“Good food but overpriced”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We ate in the bar area because we were hungry and couldn't wait to be seated in the regular dinning area. The food was good but too gourmetish for me, meaning tiny portions for a large cost. I would not go back.
