Description: Downtown San Luis Obispo's longest running brew pub since prohibition, SLO Brew, recently announced plans to expand and relocate. SLO Brew is debuting in its new location on Higuera Street early 2016 and will feature an upgraded brewery, restaurant, bar and music venue. Careful consideration has been taken by the entire SLO Brew team to ensure the new location will keep its authentic local spirit, paying special attention to handcraft the SLO Brew experience for its loyal clientele. When doors open next year, SLO Brew fans can expect the venue to be enhanced and booked to the brim with local and world famous performers and bands. SLO Brew would not be complete without the authentic brewing tanks and "kettles" that have been cooking up SLO Brew beer since 1988. These iconic tanks and kettles will be transferred to the new location and, as a new signature amenity, The Brew has added several self-serve taps, offering up a variety of fresh SLO Brew beers. State of the art kitchen equipment and an impeccably appointed dining room attest to SLO Brew's commitment to an elevated culinary experience. Diners can order gourmet pizzas and mouth-watering burgers, as well as other hot and delicious pub-favorite foods, expertly paired with SLO brews.

Two stories with a live music area downstairs and restaurant/bar upstairs. Food was good. Server was nice. Had an IPA on Nitro!

“Great Beer Selection”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

I had a 1/2 turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich and a backstage salad. Both featured avocado and were tasty and fresh. The turkey used was minimally processed (so not the uber nasty stuff, but not carved from the bird.) My sweetie had the brew burger which was cooked to perfection and served with lots of fried. The blueberry beer and reggae red were wonderful.

Food is average. Has live music quit often but can be very noisey.

Nice place if you like beer. I highly recommend the Mac and Cheese - add jalapenos for some extra flavor

“Creekside bistro”
Reviewed April 27, 2012

Casual dining - good, upbeat food, nice home brew choices -- not so keen on the sour beer, but everything else top rate. Great location, nice place for informal lunches, visitors really enjoy the balcony dining.
