“Not on par with sister restaurant in Paso Robles”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

This Pappy's has all of the potential and only needs a competent wait staff to complete it. Went in on a Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. and was told that the only table available was in the corner and had no view of the multiple televisions in the establishment. We were told that we could wait 30 minutes and another section would be opened at 6:00 p.m. if we wanted to wait. We left and went to a nearby competitor. At past visits, the food has been good but the staff has not been impressive. It feels as if they hire only Cal Poly students who have no desire for long term employment.

“Great for Lunch”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Delicious calamari appetizer, and great Kobe burgers. Recomend subing the garlic fries (super garlicy!) with the sweet potato fries which were delicious. A bit loud, but a good choice for lunch in SLO.

“Great food, name change-Pappy McGregors”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This restaurant was recommended by the motel I was staying at. They were pretty crowded, I had to sit in the bar, which was fine, they had live Irish folk music going on, which was very entertaining. They had a special of $4 on 20 oz glasses of Guiness, I could not finish it. Love Guiness. I had a really good chopped salad and some pesto garlic bread. The food was good and was reasonably priced. Would go here again. It was busy, and had to wait a little for my food, but it was worth it. It's a pub type atmosphere, with pub type food, but they had salads and lots of different options. I think this is a great place.

“Wow what a great night.”
Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

We were staying at the Peachtree Inn and just walked down the road and found this place. Incredible food had a great Irish band playing that night. The burgers were amazing. They were so huge that it was our lunch for the next day. The band was incredible! After dinner we spent another hour and a half just drinking beer and listening to the band. It was an incredible night! We were just planning on finding some food and wound up with great food and a whole night of entertainment!
