5 stars mean exceptional to me - and I'd almost give this restaurant a rating of 4 but for perhaps a bit of inattention by the cook. Over medium means (to me) that the whites are firm throughout and not runny. Not the case at my last visit.
Also requesting 'crisp' hash browns got me a better serving that is typical - but crisp and brown on one side and white on the other also suggests being distracted - surprising since there were only 2 other patrons when I had breakfast.
All the same I'll go back again next time - the breakfast was reasonably priced and very tasty. And the hostess was attentive and pleasant.
SLO Coast Diner now - wish it was on Google - they deserve more business.
